Water use and the prolonged hot weather

The Town Council has a Stand Pipe hire agreement with Aquam on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The Council uses the water from this stand pipe to water its hanging baskets and flower beds.

The Council is not watering the grass on its open spaces/parks.

The advice from Aquam is that during this prolonged period of hot weather users should be considerate and sensible with the volumes of water being taken. There are no current plans for a hosepipe ban.

The Council is watering only when needed and watering to the minimum required to keep the flower beds and baskets looking beautiful.
