The Council will be holding a Preloved Market including clothes, bric a bac and more on the Market Place and in the Coppice Car Park on Sunday 9 May, 10am - 3pm. This is a free event to suit all ages. Everybody welcome!

Beacon of Hope

As a beacon of hope Belper Town Council would love to see everyone grow a sunflower in their front gardens or in pots if you do not have a garden.

We would like to see the whole of the Borough brought to life with colour, all four Town Councils will be taking part.

Please all get involved and share your creations with us, let's see who can nurture the biggest Sunflower!

Rethink Mental Illness

The Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service has recently launched an Emotional Support Helpline to ANYBODY who feels they would benefit from having someone to talk to about things they might be having difficulty with. You can call the helpline on 01773 734989 and press option 2 for the helpline.

The helpline is open 9am – 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

As we are still under Covid restrictions we are NOT using the Belper Parks this year to display Woollen Woods. Instead it will be displayed over several sites to allow for social distancing, crowds etc.

Temporary Road Closure, B6013 Chesterfield Road, 2 June 2021

Chesterfield Road B6013 will be closed from its junction with Far Laund Mews and a point 100m east of that junction to facilitate carriageway repairs from 9.30am until 3.30pm. Access will be maintained whenever reasonably possible. Alternative route, Laund Hill, Marsh Lane, Crich Lane, Spanker Lane, Brooke Street, Dungeley Hill, School Lane, B6013 Tenter Lane/New Road and vice versa
