Belper St. Johns Chapel is now providing a pens recycling box in the porch at the entrance of the chapel.

- The chapel is open 9:30 until 12:30 weekdays

Also Tetrapaks can be recycled at No. 28 on the Market Place on the second and fourth Saturday of each month between 10AM and 1PM. Please wash and flatten them before depositing as they are taken to Loscoe or Ripley by volunteers and unwashed Tetrapaks... Read More »

Transition Belper and Belper Town Council organised a half day course on Carbon Literacy, led by Caroline Harman of Marches Energy Agency, on Saturday 1st February. Ola Wilsons is doing her first ever retrospective exhibition of installations/performances. The opening is this Saturday 8th February on No.28, Belper Market Place, along with Belpers Farmers Market. She will be there from 10am-1pm.

Milford Clean Up

Milford Clean Up

On Saturday some of our councilors went to Milford and did a clean up! Here are a couple of pictures showing just how much litter they pick up in 2 hours, in such a small area.

They will be continuing the Big Belper/Milford clean Up, as sadly there is a lot to do!

New Recycling Facility at St. John's Chapel

New Recycling Facility at St. John's Chapel

We are providing a new recycling facility at St. John's chapel where you will be able to deposit used pens. They will then be passed on to a 3rd party for recycling.

The chapel is open from 9:30 until 12:30 weekdays and you will be able to leave your items for recycling in the main entrance porch where a labelled box will be provided.

The Neighbourhood Plan has now been submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council on 28 January 2020 for progression towards it being inspected and then a final referendum.

Belper Street Surgery

Belper Street Surgery

Your Belper East town councillors will be out in Belper East on your streets on Saturday 8th February 2020 at 11:00am until 1:00pm for a monthly street surgery.

They will be doing a litter pick whilst on the streets, go and have a talk to them if you have any local issues or concerns you would like to discuss.
