St John's Carpark - Open to the Public

St John's Carpark has now officially been opened to members of the public to use. This will be for a trial period of 6 months and if no issues are to be found the full lease will be varied.

The current spaces available are 31 but 2 of these are to remain for disabled badge holders and 3 are to be allocated to the staff of Belper Town Council.

Dangers of pollution caused by idling vehicles

Belper Town Council are planning an initiative to raise awareness of the dangers of the pollution caused by cars idling outside schools and also that of inconsiderate parking.

Belper Town Council will have a presence at the end of the school day on the roads outside St John's school on Monday 16th September and at Pottery school on Tuesday 17th September.

Mid-land Games Event

Cllr Atkinson visited the Mid-land games at Kirkby in Ashfield on Thursday 25 July 2019 to offer support to the team from Whitemoor Day Centre. What an amazing event providing an athletics opportunity for adults with a learning disability to engage with sport. Thanks to the staff for their efforts to make this happen.
